Shoot from the Hip's First Year

Last summer, fourteen stalwarts trekked up to Hunter, New York, to participate in the inaugural year of the Shoot from the Hip improvisational film intensive. Hosted by the Catskill Mountain Foundation and led by Armando Diaz, (renowned improv teacher
and founder of Magnet Theater in New York City) these brave students embarked on a unique journey to improvise, create, direct, edit and star in their own film. On the final night of the program they sat in the movie theater at the foundation, ate popcorn, and watched the first ever screening of their work. What they accomplished defied the constraints of space and time, and will be
viewable here soon.
